Brinsop Court, Herefordshire
“Choosing to work with David Keyte, means working with a professional person who knows his subject. David is someone who seems to have an immediate understanding of what planning idea you have on your mind and then knows the right path to follow, acting quickly and effectively.
He has a positive attitude and gives confidence to his clients.
We achieved planning permission for an unlikely building on a greenfield site and this addition is quite likely – notwithstanding Covid – to completely and advantageously change our business.
I would have no reservations about positively recommending the services of DK Planning & Development.”

The property
Brinsop Court is a Grade I listed moated manor house just outside Hereford.
Objective
Our clients wanted to secure change of use permission. They wanted the house to be used as a high end 5* self-catering accommodation for holidays and corporate retreats as well as for hosting parties, functions and weddings. As part of this plan they also wanted to erect a new wedding/function barn.
Strategy
We co-ordinated a multi-disciplinary team focusing on heritage, landscape, transport, arboricultural, ecological, noise, drainage and flood risk matters along with planning issues through the preparation and submission of a well-researched and clearly presented planning application.
Outcome
Full planning permission was granted in just over three months from submission, following informative and helpful pre-application discussions with Herefordshire Council.
